Korabi ladies lose

NY Metro Women’s Soccer League “B” Div 

KORABI Freedom – NY Magic     3:0 (1:0) 

Staten Island, NY – March 16, 2008 – This afternoon the Korabi Freedom took the outdoor pitch for the first time hosting the NY Magic Reserves, of the NYMWSL “A” Division, in a friendly match.  

The ladies played a very good game, creating some scoring opportunities but could not manage to score. The NY Magic were the more aggressive, bigger and more experienced team. This game was a great experience for the younger Korabi ladies and hopefully they will gain the experience to be able to compete with the top teams in women’s soccer in the metropolitan area. 

Even though some of the Korabi players have played together in the past, this was the very first time they all played together in an outdoor game. The Korabi ladies will be playing a series of friendly games so they can prepare for the Fall, when they start competing in NY Metro Women’s Soccer League “B” Division.
