KORABI Bears 2-0 SC Eintracht
Goal: Gzim Koleci, Robert Mela
Staten Island, NY – April 6, 2008 – Korabi continues to improve and with today’s win improves and moves into a tie for second place in the Metro 2 Division, only one point behind the leader.
Korabi played well in the first half attacking well but wasting the many scoring opportunities until the 30th minute when Gzim Koleci scored, converting a cross from the lest side, for a 1-0 lead. In the 40th minute Felipe fed Robert Mela who headed the ball past the visiting keeper for a beautiful goal to give Korabi a 2-0 lead.
The second half was uneventful, it seemed that Korabi were content with their lead and did not seem enthusiastic.
The coaching staff will have to instill a bit more discipline into this young team and they need to be able to give a 110% effort a 100% of the time.

KORABI Freedom 2-4 NY Skulls
Goal: Tina Cortez (2)
Staten Island, NY – April 6, 2008 – The Freedom played another friendly match this afternoon losing to a more experienced NY Skulls team.
The ladies played a good game getting 2 goals from Tina Cortez but the Skulls were more experienced and were able to capitalize on the Freedom defensive mistakes.
Nevertheless, the ladies continue to gain experience and by the Fall season should be able to be very competitive in the NYMWSL.
